Meet Our Founder and Primary Doula
Debbie is a mother to six children. Since the birth of her first child, she noticed just how many growing families struggle with the transition from their former lives to their new life, whether it be their first child or their fourth. During the years since becoming a mother, she developed a passion for helping other families with this challenging period in their lives. In 2011, After many years spent helping others through local support groups, she began her training to become a certified doula.
In addition, Debbie is a volunteer co-ordinator for a local mothers group, organizing meals for local mothers during difficult times. She loves to knit, is interested in green alternatives and has experience with nutrition under dietary restrictions. She is particularly concerned with postpartum mood disorders and mothers of multiples. Debbie also has Bachelor’s degrees in both Chemistry and Dance from Skidmore College, in Saratoga Springs, NY and has pursued careers in both fields before settling in Chester County in order to turn her focus to her own family, and yours.
